Ian Wang - video

My video essay Swimming, Dancing (2023) was commissioned by the Asian Film Archive as part of its Monographs series. It examines the visual culture of the Yangtze River from 1934 to the present day.

The film has been shown at an exhibition at the AFA, and has screened at the National Library of Singapore, Arkipel Jakarta, Minikino, the Dharamshala International Film Festival, Forum Film Dokumenter Yogyakarta, and Sàn Art Vietnam.
